How it works
How it works: three parties, one clear link
You, your adviser and the right lender. Here's how we connect them — step by step.
- 1
1. Someone spots the gap
Often your accountant, bookkeeper, BAS agent, planner or coach — sometimes you. Ask them which number prompted it, roughly how much and for how long.
- 2
2. Build the checklist (optional)
Use the Link-up checklist builder to see which documents you provide and which your adviser provides, and which loan types the numbers point to.
- 3
3. Make a 60-second enquiry
You complete the form — or you and your adviser complete it together, noting they referred you. No credit check when you first enquire.
- 4
4. A real specialist calls you
They confirm the purpose, amount, structure, any property and any ATO position, and — if you'd like — speak with your adviser about the figures.
- 5
5. One matched lender
Your file goes to a single lender that suits it, not a crowd. You'll know who it is before anything moves.
- 6
6. Documents, assessment and offer
The specialist confirms the exact document list. The lender assesses and, if approved, issues an offer. You decide; a credit check is only run once you choose to proceed.
- 7
7. Settlement and funding
Once documents are signed and any security is in place, funds are paid to you or directly to whoever needs paying, such as the ATO or a supplier.
Who does what
| Party | Their part |
|---|---|
| You, the owner | Decide, apply and sign. Provide ID, bank statements, property details and the purpose. |
| Your adviser | Provide and explain the numbers: financials, tax returns, BAS, ATO statement, year-to-date figures. |
| Business Loan Link | Read the enquiry, call you, link the documents to the right loan type and match one suitable lender. |
| The lender | Assess, decide, document and fund. |
More detail: accountant, broker or lender — who does what.
Common questions
Do I need my accountant involved?
No, but it often helps. Smaller cash flow facilities can be assessed mostly on bank statements and BAS you can supply yourself. Larger or more complex files go faster with your adviser answering the technical questions.
How long does it take?
It depends on the lender, the amount, whether property is involved and how quickly documents arrive. Files with complete, consistent documents move fastest. We won't promise a timeline we can't control.
Does enquiring affect my credit score?
No. There's no credit check when you first enquire. A check is discussed only once you choose to go ahead with an option.
Will my details be sent to lots of lenders?
No. A real person reviews your situation and matches it to one lender that suits. Your details aren't broadcast to a panel.
What if there isn't a good fit?
We'll tell you plainly, and where it helps, explain what would need to change — lodgements, documents, timing or security — for a better result later.
Ready when you are
Please answer the enquiry form as accurately as you can — it's how we link you to the right lender the first time. Start your 60-second enquiry.
